Edify is the name of the monthly meeting for the ladies in church who meet together to study God’s word through reading and discussing Christian books. We meet once every month in people’s homes for informal discussion and a time of fellowship and prayer together.

The aims of Edify are for us to grow in our knowledge of the Scriptures and in our faith, and to encourage one another. It is an informal atmosphere where people are able to ask questions and share their own experiences.

We usually read and discuss one chapter of a book each month. We are currently reading ‘Women and God: Hard Questions Beautiful Truths‘ by Kathleen Nielson.
We have read books such as ‘What’s So Amazing About Grace?’ by Philip Yancey, ‘Daylight at Midnight’ by Jane McNabb, ‘Counterfeit Gods’ by Tim Keller, and ‘Having a Mary heart in a Martha world’ by Joanna Weaver.  We have recently read ‘True Beauty‘ by Carolyn Mahaney and Nicole Mahaney Whitacre and ‘ A Loving Life‘ by Paul E. Miller. Each of these books has helped us to understand the Bible in deeper ways and apply its truth to our own lives.

A warm welcome is extended to any ladies who would like to join us! For more information please get in touch via the contact us page and someone will reply to you soon.
