After the last supper, Jesus was arrested and sent before Pilate.
Pilate couldn’t find anything Jesus had done that was wrong or against the law. Pilate washed his hands because he didn’t want anything to do what happened to Jesus.
Pilate gave the crowd the option to set one person free, Jesus or the criminal Barabbas. The crowd chose Barabbas so Jesus was sentenced to death.
Jesus is:
- Sinless
- The Son of God
- A sacrifice
- Our substitute
